Tools, Frameworks, and Ideas for Young Entrepreneurs
Everything you need to launch your entrepreneurship journey — from project idea starters to the YEI framework and digital tools.
The YEI Framework
How We Develop Young Entrepreneurs
The YEI Framework is built around five interconnected pillars that guide students from curiosity to competence. Each pillar is woven into every program, activity, and challenge.
Identify Opportunity
Students learn to observe the world around them, spot unmet needs, and recognize problems worth solving.
Develop Solutions
From brainstorming to prototyping, students practice the creative and analytical skills needed to build real solutions.
Build & Test
Students bring their ideas to life through hands-on projects, iterating based on feedback and real-world testing.
Communicate & Present
Every entrepreneur must be able to tell their story. Students develop pitch skills, written communication, and presentation confidence.
Reflect & Grow
YEI builds a culture of reflection. Students document their journey, celebrate wins, and learn from setbacks.

These idea starters are designed to spark entrepreneurial thinking. Students can use them as jumping-off points for their YEI Challenge projects.

Digital Entrepreneur's Journal
Document Your Journey
The YEI Digital Entrepreneur's Journal is a guided reflection tool for students participating in the Challenge. It walks students through each stage of their project — from the initial idea to final presentation.
Idea Discovery
Capture the moment your idea was born. What problem did you notice? Who does it affect?
Research & Validation
Document what you learned about your idea. Who did you talk to? What did the data say?
Solution Design
Sketch your solution. What does it look like? How does it work? What makes it different?
Build & Test Log
Track your progress. What did you build? What worked? What needed to change?
Pitch Preparation
Prepare your story. Who is your audience? What do you want them to feel and do?
Reflection & Next Steps
What did you learn? What would you do differently? Where does this idea go from here?
